Good Cubans. I just wish they had a better fountain drinks and maybe offer some good type of combos.

I'm in this place multiple times a week and love the day staff. They are friendly, fast and the two sisters make the best sandwiches! HOWEVER my schedule has changed and now I usually don't go in until the evening. The MANAGEMENT needs to do something about the guy at night, he is making Rude comments about women. Somehow its always just him & another woman working at nights. This is probably why women workers don't last long.

Used to love this place not sure what happened. Its still clean and has subs And stuff. But the staff could be a bit nicer to the customer but its a good place for a quick stop to pick up a lunch subl.

I went in for a sandwich and was highly dissatisfied. The gentleman that made my sandwich put everything I DIDN'T want in it and then the rest of the sandwich was missing. No cheese, no mustard, no lettuce, nothing. Just meat Mayo and bread along with the three ingredients I didn't ask for. I called to make a complaint and that same gentleman didn't seem to even care he messed up. Four years ago this place was sooo much better.

I usually get the Cuban sandwich when I'm in town but decided to try the BBQ pulled pork. Delicious! Just found out it is under new management, but still good! I've been coming here for 6 years. Will be taking a Cuban sandwich home with me as usual!

The pizza is the best on this side of town. And the shrimp marina pasta is the bomb! Make sure get extra sauce

If you have shopped here before spring/summer 2019, you may be disappointed as it has changed. The store was sold by the original owner about a year ago maybe. It has lost some of the "neighborhood" charm it had. The fresh meats seem to be different as well but I think they still cut and grind all of it. They still have the sandwich line and deli items. An addition is BBQ pork, beef, and chicken with an outdoor grill or smoker. Prices for regular grocery items are a bit high, IMO. Still, not quite the same as before and maybe that will change over time.

Neighborhood market for years that may have changed owners. It may still be in transition to add some new ideas. No butchers were seen in the butcher's area. Meat (beef) looks like it was frozen and thawed presliced meats in sealed wrap. Ground beef fresh ground was very brown. They still had Cuban sandwiches that were premade on top of the cold cut display that you could have condiments, lettuce, tomato, and pickles added to it. You can have it cold or pressed. They also make breakfast and other sandwiches fresh when ordered. Some prices were not posted on cold cuts by the pound and salads. The place could use some sprucing up as well. It also looks like they may be adding a small heated buffet area by the front of the store.

This is a terrific place. I list homes in and around Tampa for 1%! I need places I can stop and get good food quick. They changed management and it hasn't lost its glory! Thank you for a great pressed deli sandwich!!!

Pulled pork sandwich was out of this world amazing! Cuban sandwich was also fantastic as was the potato salad! Can't wait to go back and try everything else!

We normally only come for the sandwiches cause that is what they are known for but they recently added Bar B Q and we dont mind trying new things. We bought a lot of it since we were having a party for the family. We spent a pretty nice price for the food I might add. Anyways, they threw in some mac n cheese because we spent so much... Well, the mac n cheese was bad.. I mean they should of known it was no good. As soon as you open the lid, it smelled sour and the pulled pork was full of fat. We live close to Wesley Chapel, so going back was not an option and no one picks up the phone. Long story short, If people are willing to spend their money to support your business, don't give out bad food. I will not be back!!

Love the Cubans. Best part is they are ready to go. Just grab 1 pay and leave. Fast and easy

Omg my Sandwich was soooo well prepared. Everything was soo well Balanced . Me & my Friend Melted , when we took our bites. I think the lady named was Amber ? ..... but A1 Top Service lady . Diff comin back

I've been coming to this deli since high school (so...we're talking a couple decades now) almost exclusively for the Cuban sandwiches. They were the best in Tampa (I did the research!) and even though I moved out of the area, I still would drive the distance whenever I had a craving. I have to say, however, that the place has declined somewhat in the recent year or so. The Cuban sandwiches, which again were the best I had ever had, are still good...but just "good", not "the best" like they used to be. And the customer service has suffered. I've actually gotten fed up and walked out because I've stood in front of the deli to make an order just to be ignored by the staff. It is my hope that this is just a temporary issue (its my understanding that the management has changed relatively recently) that will be sorted out. Forest Hills Deli is a pillar of the community, and it would be a shame if it lost it's shine.

I have been coming to forest hills deli for about 15 years their Cubans have stayed the same from the quality to the ingredients that makes your first bite the perfect bite each time. I recently tried the homemade soups I had 5he broccoli and cheese it was outrageous my only complaint is that it doesn't come in a bigger size.🤷‍♀️😁

Service was great over the years but in the last year the service went down greatly. The sandwiches are thrown together and the staff is far from friendly. May revisit in the far future but for now I'll make the drive out of my neighborhood to ybor for better service and quality.

I really was routing for this place & the new owners. The past 5-6 months were the best in the past 2 years. Not like how it was before the change of hands, though. Today was just horrible, guess their trying to make changes but epic Fail. JUST LEAVE THINGS HOW THEY WERE!

Best place in town to get Cuban sandwiches and hoagies

Place was clean. Customer service was great. But when I got home my food was made incorrectly.

New owners, a different atmosphere and culture. The shelves seem fewer and less full. When I visited the screens were out of order making ordering food difficult. The employees, yes had masks on but have a tendency to pull masks up or down to speak and call out orders. The lady that made my sandwich was not properly wearing her ppe. She had her nose out and was breathing all over everything the entire time never placing her face mask back properly to protect the Patrons or other employees. The employees wore gloves but missed the memo explaining when you start touching everything besides the food including the ppe you need to get new gloves. Since options are slim in this area for food and beverages this works but is more of a risk while going through the Pandemic.

It's sad. A few weeks ago I was in there and saw how rude the new owner was to one of the ladies that had worked there forever. I got my all time favorite "the super cuban". It was very plain and only ate half. The rest went in the garbage. Went in today. The days of over crowded , happy customers waiting to get their food are over. At 12.....3 customers. Got the super cuban. It was a super disappointment. I wont be going back.Try Bearrs sandwich shop.

The entire atmosphere is horrible! What boss stands over there employees?? Like actually standing over them... Unacceptable.. The employees look as if they are miserable.. Maybe needing more workers?? I normally have a friendly visit .. The place was getting better w the friendly staff but is still going downhill.. Google another sandwhich shop..

I’ve been coming here since 2001 when I was 12 back in my middle school days at Adams... Great people, great service, great sandwiches and prime cuts. Very convenient, organized, and professional. Will stay coming here as long as I’m nearby and hungry 🤗😍💯

My only complaint about this place is I went there one time A few years back and I Stood in front of the deli case waiting to order there. I think there were two employees working there that day They both saw me and didn’t say a word. I understand they were probably busy but they did ignore me. How ever the Cuban sandwich I finally got after waiting to place my order was pretty good And I would go back there again.

I had a club hoagie and it was the best sandwich I've ever had, so much meat and a great size ,satisfies a hungry me .and the price was great to .

They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and among other things. They are reasonably priced.

First I've been going to this place since I went to Chamberlain High School back in 2000 to this day I still get the super Cuban staff is very friendly kind and courteous and they'll help you and if they don't got it they'll get it. The butcher side of the deli has very good cuts I buy a lot of my meat from them can be kind of pricey but it's good quality cuts
